This year we have two female instructors on our team.
Karen Robinson is an RYA CRuising Instructor who is teaching here at the moment. She will be instructing for several other weeks during the summer. Karen has been sailing since she was 7 years old and has experience of yachting in Australia as well as the UK and Greece.
Her normal teaching ground is the Solent in the south of England. She has run several ‘ladies only’ courses there and I am considering offering the same here in the Aegean.
In July we have a visiting instructor from New Zealand. Suzanne Bourke is a Yachtmaster Instructor who runs her own sailing school. She is visiting Europe in the hope of seeing Team New Zealand take the Americas Cup back. What do you think the chances of this are?
I am considering offering some courses just for the girls. Having sailed with an all female crew I know that it can be very relaxing (sorry, guys). I’d be very interested in your comments.
Have you attended a Ladies Only course? How did it go? Would you be interested in such a course in Greece?
