Day Skipper Plus is a course for those who have an RYA Day Skipper Practical certificate and are ready for more knowledge and experience for chartering yachts bareboat. Are you likely to sail with just two adults on board? Or with inexperienced friends or family? If so, you need to feel confident that you can handle the yacht and crew with little assistance. This course will give you the skills you’ll need. In five days we’ll teach you extra skills to safely skipper a charter yacht. It will also give you valuable pre-charter information such as what to check on your yacht at handover.
You completed your RYA Day Skipper Practical course and wish to gain more experience and build on your skills.
You are soon to be exposed to a first experience as skipper with a small and/or novice crew.
You are 16 years old and above.
Your partner perhaps does a Day Skipper Practical, a Competent Crew or a Charter Co-Skipper course and you want to get to the next level in the mean time in a private setting. Contact us for details and prices of our private tuition.
You will refresh your Day Skipper techniques. On top of it, the course will cover: advanced mooring techniques, space development in busy harbours, advanced anchoring, use of long lines ashore in bays, Cruising Chute/Spinnaker rigging and deployment and drop, rig tuning and technical knowledge, VHF Radio Use (with optional Operator’s course & exam), pre boat chartering advise, agreements, insurance and what to check, knowledge of jury rigging vessels. engine and sail, short handed sailing techniques.
There is no assessment at the end as this week is based on gaining extra knowledge and experience.

All prices include your own yacht cabin on board (only to share with your partner if applicable) with all the necessary items for your comfort: bedding and linens, towels, pillows.
For practical courses are included all yachts expenses, breakfast and lunch. All activities ashore and dinner are at your own expense. Your travel expenses to get to Aegina are not covered.
You desire more privacy? We offer private versions of all our courses! Depending on the season, the type of boats, and the number of days, from €3,700 up to €7,950, you can book a yacht for yourself and friends/family to enjoy your time in a more intimate setting while learning the skills you want to complete. A qualified instructor will stay on board at all time to ensure safety but our team is used to not disturb your privacy.
