Our instructors

At the Aegean Sailing School, team spirit is our priority! As a close and family-like team, we like to see our group working together on the water and enjoying their time! This ensures happy times for our students as well. Not only sociable and friendly, our instructors are highly experienced and extremely practical sailors. You can be assured that you will get the quality of tuition you want from someone who knows the area and has lots of expertise in teaching as well as in sailing. Our chief instructor John, not only teaches but also supervises a whole team of young and dynamic instructors! Olivier and Jolle grew with our school and work all year around on the Saronic waters! Charles, Deniz, Mira, and Despina are part of our dear team staying around Aegina for most of the year as well. And of course more instructors join our team for shorter periods each year! Every one of them works hard to provide you with the best experience you can wish for. Skills, knowledge, sailor tips and tricks, races, Greek culture, and smiles, they offer you the complete package the Aegean Sailing School aim to offer.

The Aegean Sailing School is on the look for new instructors!

From March/April until November 2025 (with flexible starting and ending dates), our school is looking for new team members. If you are a Cruising Instructor and/or a Yacht Master Instructor who is aiming to work for a whole season in Aegina, Greece, at an RYA school, you are in the right spot. We are also open for half-season applications.

What we are scouting for: a passionate instructor with a strong team spirit and keen on flexibility and enthusiasm! Someone ready to instruct on weekly group courses (generally following a flotilla style), private courses and milebuilders (plus if YMI: possibly some yachtmaster prep weeks). We offer a very diverse portfolio of RYA (and non-RYA) courses every week. People skills, high quality RYA-syllabus delivery and focus on the client experience, are must-haves.

We are aiming to recruit someone willing to work weekly, with a few 1-week breaks throughout the season (schedule to be decided together at the beginning of the season), as well as potentially one weekend every 4-or-5 weeks. We are providing accommodation for all instructors in between courses.

For more information, please send us a message at info@aegeansailingschool.com with your CV & experience and we will get in touch!

Looking forward to hearing back from our potential future team members!

Clara on behalf of the Aegean Sailing School
