A private course means you and your companions have exclusive use of a yacht and your own instructor. This allows for a learning experience designed around your needs – whether you’re a complete beginner eager to learn the basics or an experienced sailor looking to refine your skills.
With a private course, you have more input on the places you visit- whether you prefer peaceful, secluded bays or bustling harbours. You can plan your day around your preferences (within reason!) and enjoy your evening meal at a time that suits you.
Private courses cater to up to five people. Fewer students mean even more one-on-one attention, ensuring you get the most out of your time on board. We aim to go beyond the standard syllabus whenever possible, teaching additional skills if time allows. Our instructors stay on board for safety but know exactly how to respect your privacy, stepping in only when needed.
Want to learn on your own yacht or a boat you’ve chartered? No problem! We can bring one of our instructors on board, whether it’s a monohull or catamaran.
If you already have sailing experience but no certificate, our instructor can join you for the first five days of your trip, guiding you through the RYA Day Skipper syllabus. By the end, you’ll not only have your certificate but also the confidence to continue your holiday independently. Your crew can even complete a Competent Crew course alongside you!

Dreaming of a private course just for yourself? It’s possible! To make it work, you’ll need a crew member on board – but don’t worry, we can provide one of our qualified staff to step in. That way, you’ll get all the personal attention from your instructor while still having the support you need to sail safely.
Prices for private sailing courses start from €3,700, varying based on the course duration, yacht selection, and season. The package includes:
