For sailors who want to upgrade, refresh or repeat their sailing skills, we’ve created the Yachting Plus experience. Extend your time at Aegean with two extra days on the water – either before or after your RYA course – and make the most of your sailing adventure. Many of our guests choose this option to brush up on skills before their main course, get familiar with the yacht, or practise their newly gained experience in a relaxed setting afterwards.
Each week, one training yacht is available from Friday 19:00 until Sunday 16:00, with sailing time from Saturday 14:00 to Sunday 16:00. This additional time on board gives you the chance to gain more practical experience and focus on the areas you want to improve, such as harbour manoeuvres, berthing situations or simply sailing the yacht more confidently and efficiently.
It’s the perfect opportunity to fine-tune your newly learned skills, reinforce what you’ve just developed, or simply enjoy more time at sea in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Are you joining us for an RYA course but would like to refresh your sailing skills beforehand? Then this course is the perfect way to prepare. Book it before your main course to get comfortable on board again, find your rhythm, and bring your knowledge back to the surface.
Yachting Plus is also highly recommended after your RYA course. It gives you the opportunity to revisit and practise what you’ve learned during the week at a more relaxed pace, helping you leave with even more confidence.
During this course, you will focus on the areas that you and your fellow crew would like to fine-tune or refresh. Perhaps you would like to spend more time on passage planning and chart work, or concentrate on specific manoeuvres. Everything is possible!
Together with your instructor and fellow sailors, you will create a programme that helps you truly master your skills – whether they are newly learned or simply in need of a little polishing.
Please note: activities ashore, dinners, and travel to Aegina are not included.

During this course, you have the option to immediately obtain your RYA Radar Certificate for an additional €50.
Modern navigation is increasingly digital, and radar is one of the most powerful tools for safe decision-making at sea. In this hands-on training, you learn how to confidently operate radar through practical exercises on board.
