Sail the Southern Ocean – from your tablet!

Do you want to race across the Southern Ocean or around the world … but without taking leave or getting wet?

Join THE GAME, the Barcelona World Race virtual regatta. THE GAME is an online sailing simulation game. The main objective is to compete against other players to try to win the round the world regatta. Players can also race against the real skippers, who appear in THE GAME following the same course taken in the real regatta.

You can train for the BWR with the second beta test regatta, The Big Southern Ocean Challenge. It started at noon on 6 November, with a course through the dreaded South Pacific Ocean, starting in Hobart (Tasmania) and finishing at the legendary Cape Horn, rounding New Zealand’s South Island on the way. Although the race has started, it’s not too late to join in and train ready for the big race

It’s completely free to enter a boat in THE GAME, thanks to the sponsors of the Barcelona World Race.
